<br />SEAT 2. Vice Mayor Corprew offered the name of Evelyn Hyman,

<br /> Councilman Hawks offered the name of Warren Channel, for
<br />nomination.

<br /> Councilman Epperson offered the name of James T. Benn,
<br />III, for nomination.
<br />
<br /> Motion of Mr. Clemons and seconded by Mr. Williams, to
<br />close nominations which was adopted by unanimous vote, Evelyn
<br />Hyman was appointed to the School Board for a three year term,

<br />92-220 - Councilman King recognized the Golden Olympians for
<br />winning 63 gold metals in Blacksburg at Virginia Tech at the
<br />Senior Citizens Olympics. Also Councilman King wants the
<br />Olympians to come to a future meeting so Council can show their
<br />support of them representing Portsmouth.
