Brewer Moore, 308 Bobby Jones Drive, gave a report on the American Victory at <br />Craney Island and asked that Council declare June 22 as Battle at Craney Island <br />Day. <br /> <br />5. Reverend Leroy Daniel, Jr., 4423 Birch Road, spoke on the issue of homelessness <br />within the city. <br /> <br />6. G. W. Thomason, 4065 Windybrow Drive, spoke on the issue of homelessness and <br />asked the Council provide adequate shelter throughout the year. <br /> <br />7. John Johnson, 3901 Mariner Drive, informed Council that he was not aware of a <br />decision made by Council to acquire the property known as the "Crab Shack" which <br />is owned by his son. <br /> <br />8. Clarine Roberts, 1420 Flintfield Crescent, Chesapeake, spoke on the issue of <br />homelessness within the city. <br /> <br />9. George Lewis asked that Council include those that are homeless in the decision <br />making process of solving the problem of homelessness within the city. <br /> <br />10. Dr. Thomas Shields, Sr., 527 Green Street, presented some facts to Council <br />regarding homelessness in Portsmouth. <br /> <br />11. Moses Whitehead, 3221 Bangor Drive, Chesapeake, gave a personal account of his <br />experience hiring those that are homeless to work for him. <br /> <br />12. Antoinette Watson, 17 Dewey Street, spoke on the issue of homelessness in <br />Portsmouth and offered solutions to the problem. <br /> <br />13. Vernon Crump, 4732 Mallard Crescent, spoke on the issue of homelessness in <br />Portsmouth. <br /> <br />14.
