Pitts,.~Roy W* Cherry', Dephty City Manager's' <br />George M. willson, Deputy City Attorney. <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor King opened the meeting with prayer folloWed by <br />the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />Mayor Webb welcomed all in attendance. <br /> <br /> 93-29 - Mo~ion~of Mr. Epperson and seconded by Mr. Pitts, <br />the minutes of a Called Meeting of January 11, 1993; the Public <br />Hearing of January ll, 1993; the minutes of a Called Meeting of <br />January 12, 1993; and the minutes of a Regular Meeting of <br />January 12, 1993, to be approved as reeeived;~and was adopted by <br />unanimous vote. <br /> <br />93-30 <br /> <br />93-31 <br /> <br />Presentation to City Council from Sister Rita <br />Thomas, Sr. Vice President, Gary Herbek, Chief <br />Executive Director, Susan Starkey, Auxiliary <br />President, and Laura Lou Campbell, Chairman of the <br />Project for Maryview Medical Center. <br /> <br />Presentation of special lapel pins to newly <br />appointed Boards and Commissions members: <br /> <br />Joan M. Patterson, South Hampton Roads Disability <br />Services Board; Pearline Harmon, Library Board; <br />Ann Davis, Industrial Development Authority and <br />Port industrial Commission; Irma W. DeLauri, <br />Mayetta L. Ford, Connie Mabry, Ethel Old, Marcia <br />L. Schuyler and Florence B. Wolin, Americans with <br />Disabilities Commission. <br /> <br />93-32 Non-agenda Speakers: <br /> <br /> 1. James T. Martin, 500 Crawford Street, representing <br />Eastern Medical Transport, Inc., spoke concerning a resolution <br />to appoint viewers for closing a portion of Coast Guard <br />Boulevard and requested Council to suspend the rules at the <br />appropriate place in the meeting to adopt this resolution. <br /> <br /> 2. Helen Persons, 1314 Green Street, thanked the City <br />for the help provided thus far at Washington Park and requested <br />the continued support of Council and the City on this issue. <br /> <br /> 3.
