026 <br /> <br />March 23, 1993 <br /> <br /> At a Called Meeting of the City Council held on Tuesday, <br />March 23, 1993, there were present: <br /> <br /> Mayor Gloria O. Webb, Vice Mayor Lee E. King, Johnny M. <br />Clemons, John H. Epperson, Bernard D. Griffin, Sr., James C. <br />Hawks, Cameron C. Pitts, V. Wayne Orton, City Manager, Stuart <br />Katz, City Attorney. <br /> <br />93-109 The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be <br />held in the City Council Chamber, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 <br />Crawford Street, at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 23, 1993, for the <br />purpose of a joint meeting with the Community Services Board and <br />a Public Work Session. <br /> <br /> In addition you may consider a motion to go into am <br />Executive Session. <br /> <br /> By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br /> 93-110 - The following items were discussed in the Public <br />Work Session: <br /> <br /> 1. Joint meeting with the Community Services Board <br />Members <br /> 2. Alcoholic Beverages Code Amendment <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Epperson and seconded by Mr. King to go into <br />Executive Session pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.1-344 <br />of the Code of Virginia for the following: <br /> <br /> (1) Discussion or consideration of appointments to Boards <br />and Commissions by the City Council as permitted under <br />Subsection (A) (1); <br /> <br /> (2) Discussion or consideration of a personnel mater <br /> concerning the Delinquent Tax Collector as permitted under <br /> Subsection (A) (1). <br /> <br /> Motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Epperson and seconded by Mr. Clemonsv <br /> pursuant to Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying <br /> that to the best of the Council Member's knowledge during the <br /> immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: <br /> <br /> 1. Only public business matters lawfully exempted from <br /> open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of <br /> InformatiOn Act, and <br /> <br /> 2. Only such public business matters as were identified <br /> in the motion by which the Executive Session was <br /> convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the <br /> meeting by the City Council. <br /> <br />Motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />On motion meeting adjourned. <br />APPROVED -~ <br /> <br /> Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
