Epperson, <br />Hawks, Cameron-C. Pitts, V. <br />E. Katz, City Attorney. <br /> <br />93-167 - The following call <br /> <br /> on Tuesday, <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Lee E. King, Johnny M. <br />Bernard D. Griffin, Sr., James C. <br />Wayne Orton, City Manager, Stuart <br /> <br /> for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a called meeting of the City Council to be <br />held in.the City Council Chamber, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 <br />Crawfora Street, at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 4, 1993, for the <br />purpose of a Public Work Session on the proposed operating <br />budget for fis~at year 199~/94. <br /> <br /> In addition you may consider a motion to go into an <br />Executive Session. <br /> <br /> By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br /> 93-168 - The fol!owin~ items were discussed in the Public <br />Work Session: <br /> <br /> ' 1 <br /> The proposed operatin~ budget for fisca year 1993/94. <br /> <br /> 93-169 Motion by COuncilman Hawks and ssconded by Vice <br />Mayor King to go into Executive Session Dursuant to.provisions <br />of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia for the ~ollowing: <br /> <br /> (1) Discussion or consideration of the use of publicly <br />held real property In the downtown and central portions of the <br />City as permitted under S~bsection (A) (3); <br /> (2) Consultation wi~h the City Attorney andi ~rlef~ng oy <br />staff pertaining to a matter of probable litigation involving <br />the Superfund site and Andmrson litigation as permitted under <br />Subsection (A) (7). <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Clemons and seconded by Vice Mayor <br />King oursuant to Section ~.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia <br />certlzylng that to the best of the Counc!lmemoer .s Knowledge <br />during the i~ediate!y preceding Executive Session of the City <br />Council: <br /> <br /> ~ business matters lawfully exempted from <br /> (t) Onlw publ_~ _ <br />open meeting ~equirements by the Virginia Freedom of <br />Information Act; and <br /> <br /> (2) Only such publlc business m~ters as were ident~flee <br />in the mction by which th~ Executive ~ession was convened, were <br />heard, discussed or considered in the meet~n~ Dy the C~ty <br />Council. <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />On motion meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />APPROVED -~ <br />avor <br /> <br />~Ci~ty Clerk <br /> <br />*Mayor Gloria O.
