Norcom Hiah School DaVaughnta Daughtery - Senior Motion by Ms. Randall, and seconded by Mr. Moody, to close nominations, and the above nominations were adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Heretick, Moody, Psimas, Randall, D. Smith, R. Smith, Holley Nays: None 06 - 550 - Items Submitted by Council Members ~ Ms. Psimas, as former liaison to the Hoffler Creek Wildlife Preserve, updated Council and citizens of a meeting she attended, along with Mr. Moody, on November 16, 2006. ~ Ms. Randall complimented City Manager Oliver on a job well done as City Manager of Portsmouth. ~ Mr. Oliver informed citizens that he had notified Council that he would not ask that his contract be extended past June, 2007. 06 - 551 - Report on Pending Items ~ Ms. Psimas, as liaison to the Light Duty Policy Committee, gave an update to Council and citizens. 06 - 552 - Non-Agenda Speakers 1. Nathan Clark, 37 Woodland Street, voiced his frustration with not receiving a complete update on the City's Light Duty Policy. 2. Sheriff Watson, 701 Crawford Street, voiced his frustration with not receiving a complete update on the City's Light Duty Policy. 3. Martha Ann Creecy, 317 Dinwiddie Street, asked that Council instead of building a new Court's Complex use the funding to improve neighborhoods.
