Katz, City Attorney. <br /> <br /> 93-176 - The follQwing call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a Called Meeting of <br />held in the City Council Chamber, 6th <br />Crawford Street, at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, <br />purpose of a Public Work Session. <br /> <br /> In addition, you may oonsider a <br />Executi~ Session. <br /> <br /> By order of thee Mayor." <br /> <br /> 93-!78 - The following items wsre <br />Work Sess~ion: <br /> <br /> the City Council to be <br />floor of City Hall, 801 <br /> May 11, 1993, for the <br /> <br />motion to go into an <br /> <br />discussed in the Public <br /> <br /> Presentation by Ronnie Lewis, Captain, Portsmouth Police <br />Department and Charles R. Johnson, Director of Human Services, <br />on taxicabs. <br /> <br /> ~otion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Epperson to go <br />into Executive Session pursuant to provisions of Section <br />2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia for the following: <br /> <br /> (I) Consideration of appointments to Boards and Commissions <br />by the City Council, as permitted under Subsection (A) (1); <br /> <br /> (2) Consultation with the City Attorney and briefing by <br />staff pertaining to matters of actual litigation (Anderson <br />suit, Weipert suit, Moore suit), as permitted under Subsection <br />(A) (7); <br /> <br /> (3) Discussion and consideration of the use or condition of <br />publicly held property in the eastern and downtown portions of <br />the City, as permitted under Subsection (A) (3). <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Clemons and seconded by Mr. Pitts pursuant to <br />Section 2.1-344.1 of the Council Member's knowledge that during <br />the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City <br />Council: <br /> <br /> (1) Only public business matters <br />open meeting requirements by the <br />Information Act, and <br /> <br />lawfully exempted from <br />Virginia Freedom of <br /> <br /> (2) Only such public business matters as were identified in <br />the motion by which the Executive Session was convened, were <br />heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />On motion meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />APPROVED~- ~ · Mayor <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br />*Councilman James C.
