King, ~John ~. <br />Epperson, Bernard D. Griffin, Sr., Cameron C. ~Pitts, V. Wayne <br />Orton, City Manager, Stuart E. Katz, City Attorney. <br /> <br />93,214 - The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be <br />held in the City Council Chamber, 6th floor of City gall, 801 <br />Crawford Street, at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 1, 1993~ for the <br />purpose of an EXecutive Session to discuss Boards and Commissions <br /> <br /> By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Griffin, and seconded by Mr. King to go into <br />Executive Session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of <br />Code of Virginia for the following: <br /> <br /> (1) Discussion or consideration of appointments to Boards <br />Commissions by ~City Council as permitted under Subsection (A) (1) <br /> <br /> (1) <br />meeting <br />and <br /> <br /> The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Motion .of Mr. Pitts, and seconded~by Mr. Epperson pursuant t~ <br />Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the <br />best of the Councilmember's knowledge during the immediately <br />preceding Executive Session of the City Council: <br /> <br /> Only public business matters~lawful~y exempted from ope] <br /> requirements bY the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, <br /> <br /> (2) Only such public business matters as were identified in <br />the ~otion by.which the Executive Session was convened, were <br />heard, discusse~ or considered in the meeting by the.City Council <br /> <br /> The motion was adopted by unanimous vote~ <br /> <br /> On motion meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m. <br />~APPROV~D - <br /> <br />Absent: Johnny M.
