"At the last public work session of the City Council, you
<br />requested that staff prepare the process necessary for your
<br />consideration to modify the timing of the reduction of the
<br />personal property tax rate on recreational vehicles (RV's).
<br />
<br /> We have run the necessary advertisement for a public
<br />hearing to be held on the modification of the ordinance, and
<br />the City Attorney has prepared the change to this tax rate
<br />ordinance for your consideration. The proposed change would
<br />delay the implementation of the RV tax reduction from the $4.35
<br />rate to the previously approved rate of $1.50 per $108 of
<br />valuation from July 1, 1993 to January 1, 1994.
<br />
<br /> I believe that the proposed change would clarify, as well
<br />as make equitable, the tax rate for the entire calendar year
<br />for all affected owners. I, therefore, recommend that the
<br />modification be adopted."

<br /> Motion of Mr. Epperson, seconded by Mr. Pitts, the
<br />following ordinance was adopted and by the following vote:

<br /> -Durin~tthe past'several wee~s, you hav? considered, a
<br />revision to~he Cit~'s'curfew ordinance. This ordsnance .
<br />presently regulates the activities of persons under the~.age:of~
<br />eighteen, between the hours of midnight and 5:00 a.m.
<br />
<br /> The proposed ordinance regulates the activities of persons
<br />hnder the age of~segent~en, between the hours of 11:00 ~.m.~and
<br />5:00 a;m. Additionally, th~ propose~Cbrdinance provides~for
<br />exceptions or'exempted a~ctiviti~s which would be recognized as
<br />permissible activities for those minors.
