<br />At a Called Meeting of the City Council on Tuesday, October 3, 2006, there were

<br />06 - 458 - The following call for the meeting was read:
<br />
<br />"Please attend a called meeting of the City Council to be held at the YMCA Camp
<br />Silver Beach, 6272 YMCA Lane, Jamesville, Virginia, on Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at
<br />8:30 a.m. for the purpose of a City Council Retreat.
<br />
<br />In addition, you may consider a motion to go into a Closed Meeting.
<br />
<br />By order of the Mayor."
<br />
<br />06 - 459 - Motion by Mr. R. Smith, and seconded by Ms. Psimas, to go into Closed
<br />Meeting pursuant to provisions of Section 2.2-3711 (A) of the Code of Virginia, to
<br />discuss:
<br />
<br />the acquisition of real property for a public purpose, as per subsection 3; and
<br />
<br />the sale of publicly held real property, as per subsection 3; and
<br />
<br />discussion a prospective new business, industry, or expansion, where there
<br />has been no prior public announcement, as per subsection 5.
<br />
<br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote.
<br />
<br />Motion by Mr. D. Smith, and seconded by Mr. Moody, pursuant to Section 2.2-
<br />3712(D) of the Code of Virginia, certifying that to the best of the Council Members'
<br />knowledge during the immediately preceding Closed Meeting of the City Council:
<br />
<br />1. Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting
<br />requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and
<br />
<br />2. Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion, by which
<br />the Closed Meeting was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in
<br />the meeting by the City Council.
<br />
<br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote.
