November 30, 1993 At a Called Meeting of the City Council held on Tuesday, November 30, 1993, there were present: Mayor Gloria O. Webb, Clemons, John H. Epperson, Hawks, Cameron C. Pitts. Vice Mayor Lee E. King, **Johnny M. Bernard D. Griffin, Sr., *James C. 93-467 - The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a special called meeting of the City Council to be held at the Briefing Center, 200 High Street, 3rd Floor at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 30, 1993, for the purpose of discussion or consideration of the performance of City Council appointees. In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an Executive Session. By order of the Mayor." Motion by Mr. King, and seconded by Mr. Epperson to go into Executive Session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia for the following: (1) Discussion or consideration of the performance of City Council appointees as permitted under Subsection (A) (1). The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. On motion of Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Hawks pursuant to Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Councilmember's knowledge during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: (1) Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and (2) Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the Executive Session was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council.
