<br />April 25. 2006 <br /> <br />At a Called Meeting of the City Council on Tuesday, April 25, 2006, there were <br />present: <br /> <br />Mayor James W. Holley III, Vice Mayor William E. Moody, Jr., Charles B. Whitehurst, <br />Sr., Marlene W. Randall, Stephen E. Heretick, Elizabeth M. Psi mas, *Ray A. Smith, Sr., <br />City Manager James B. Oliver, Jr., City Attorney G. Timothy Oksman. <br /> <br />06 - 179 - The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br />"Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the 6th Floor <br />Conference Room, 801 Crawford Street, 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2006 for the <br />purpose of a Public Work Session. <br /> <br />In addition, you may consider a motion to go into a Closed Meeting. <br /> <br />By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br />06 - 180 - The following items were discussed in Public Work Session: <br /> <br />1. Development Update - John Rowe <br />TCC Development Agreement Update <br />Habitat for Humanity <br /> <br />5. Review of City Manager's Report Items <br /> <br />06 - 181 - Motion by Ms. Randall, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, to go into Closed <br />Meeting pursuant to provisions of Section 2.2-3711 (A) of the Code of Virginia, to <br />discuss: <br /> <br />appointments to boards and commissions, as per subsection 1; <br /> <br />the possible sale of publicly held real estate in the downtown area, as <br />per subsection 3; and <br /> <br />a prospective new business which has not been previously announced, <br />as per subsection 5. <br /> <br />The subject matter of the meeting involves possible appointments by City <br />Council, possible sale of real estate where negotiation is involved, and a new business <br />or industry. <br />
