332 June 20. 2005 At a Called Meeting of the City Council on Monday, June 20, 2005, there were present: 'Mayor James W. Holley III, Vice Mayor William E. Moody, Jr., Charles B. Whitehurst, Sr., Marlene W. Randall, Stephen E. Heretick, Elizabeth M. Psimas, Ray A. Smith, Sr., City Manager James B. Oliver, Jr. 05 - 274 - The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the 6th Floor Conference Room, 801 Crawford Street, 6th Floor, 5:00 p.m. for the purpose of a Closed Meeting. By order of the Mayor." 05 - 275 - Motion by Ms. Psimas, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, to go into Closed Meeting pursuant to provisions of Section 2.2-3711 (A)(1) of the Code of Virginia, to discuss or consider the following: personnel matters. the subject matter of the meeting includes the performance of individual public officials of the City. The purpose of the meeting is to permit confidential discussion of personnel matters. The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. Motion by Mr. Smith, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, pursuant to Section 2.2-3712(0) of the Code of Virginia, certifying that to the best of the Council Members' knowledge during the immediately preceding Closed Meeting of the City Council: 1. Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and 2. Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the Closed Meeting was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council.
