174 Januarv 10, 2005 At a Called Meeting of the City Council on Monday, January 10, 2005, there wer present: Mayor James W. Holley III, Vice Mayor William E. Moody, Jr., Charles B. Whitehurst Sr., Marlene W. Randall, Stephen E. Heretick, Elizabeth M. Psimas, Ray A. Smith, Sr. Interim City Manager James B. Oliver, Jr., City Attorney G. Timothy Oksman. 05 - 04 - The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the 6th Floo Conference Room, 801 Crawford Street, 6th floor, 4:00 p.m., Monday, January 10, 200 for the purpose of a Closed Meeting. By order of the Mayor." 05 - 05 - Motion by Ms. Randall, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, to go into Close Meeting pursuant to provisions of Section 2.2-3711 (A)(1) the Code of Virginia, t discuss or consider the following: personnel matters. The subject matter of the meeting includes the performance of individual publi officials of the City. The purpose of the meeting is to permit confidential discussion of personne matters. The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. Motion by Mr. Whitehurst, and seconded by Mr. Smith, pursuant to Sectio 2.2-3712(0) of the Code of Virginia, certifying that to the best of the Council Members knowledge during the immediately preceding Closed Meeting of the City Council: 1. Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meetin requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and 2. Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by whic the Closed Meeting was convened, were heard, discussed or considered i the meeting by the City Council.
