February 28,1994 At a Called Meeting of the City Council held on Monday, February 28, 1994, there were present:' Mayor Gloria O. Webb, ~*Vice Mayor Lee E. King, Johnny M. Clemons, Bernard D. Griffin, Sr., *James C. Hawks, Cameron C. Pitts, V. Wayne Orton, City Manager, Stuart E. Katz, City Attorney. 94-74 - The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a special called meeting of the City Council to be held in the City Manager's Conference Room, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 Crawford Street, at 5:00 p.m., Monday, February 28, 1994, for the purpose of a Public Work Session. In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an Executive Session. By order of the Mayor." 94-75 - The following item was discussed in the Public Work Session: 1. Urban Highway Projects Motion by Mr. Clemons, and seconded by Mr. Pitts to go. into Executive Session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia for the following: (1) Discussion or consideration of the use of publicly held real property and the acquisition of property for public use in the Churchland portion of the City as permitted under Subsection (A) (3). The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. Motion by Mr. Clemons, and seconded by Mr. King pursuant to Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council member's knowledge during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: (1) Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and (2) Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the Executive Session was convened, were beard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council.
