McCoy, City Manager <br /> <br /> 04 - 25 - The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the City <br /> Manager's Conference Room, 801 Crawford Street, 8th floor, 5:00 p.m., Monday, <br /> .lanuary 26, 2004, for the purpose appointee evaluations. <br /> <br /> In addition, you may consider a motion to go into a Closed Meeting. <br /> <br /> By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br /> 04 - 26 - Motion by Mr. Whitehurst, and seconded by Ms. Randall, to go into Closed <br /> Meeting pursuant to provisions of Section 2.2-3711(A) of the Code of Virginia, to <br /> discuss or consider the following: <br /> <br /> the performance of public official, as per subsection 1. <br /> <br /> The subject matter of the meeting includes the performance of individual public <br /> officials. <br /> <br /> The purpose of the meeting is to protect the public interest by ensuring <br /> confidential discussion of matters which are inappropriate for public discussion. <br /> <br /> The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, pursuant to Section <br /> 2.2-3712(D) of the Code of Virginia, certifying that to the best of the Council Member's <br /> knowledge during the immediately preceding Closed Meeting of the City Council: <br /> <br /> 1. Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting <br /> requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Inforn3ation Act, and <br /> <br /> 2.
