February 11, 2003 <br /> <br />277 <br /> <br /> Section 4: That this resolution take effect on the date of its adoption and shall <br />expire one year from the date of its adoption." <br /> <br />Ayes: Bonn, Griffin, Moody, Pitts, Randall, Whitehurst, Holley <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />- New Business - <br /> <br />03 - 49 - Boards and Commissions <br /> <br />There were no appointments. <br /> <br />03 -50 - Items Submitted by Council Members <br /> <br />Councilman Whitehurst spoke on Vision 2005 Northside Community which consists <br />of Park View, West Park View, Shea Terrace and people from Scotts Creek, <br />attending the first Vision 2005 meeting in the City Council Chamber, March 6, 2003, <br />at 7:00 p.m. Also, on April 27, 2003, March of Dimes will have a Walk America at <br />2:00 p.m. in downtown Portsmouth. <br /> <br />The City Manager acknowledged approval by Council of $67 million in new <br />development. <br /> <br />03 - 51 - Non-Agenda Speakers <br /> <br />1. J Brewer Moore, 308 Bobby Jones Drive, spoke on partnership between Olive <br /> Branch Coalition and the City of Portsmouth <br /> <br />2. Linwood E. Powell. 2672 Barclay Avenue, spoke on concerns in his neighborhood. <br /> <br />Dr. Amarjit Singh, 4401 Ashland Drive, Chesapeake, requested a copy of the video <br />tape for Tuesday, February 11, 2003, City Council meeting. Also, spoke on the <br />wolations of the city code and the 1s~ Amendment. <br /> <br />4.
