C. <br />~ On motion, the report of the Committee in regard to pawn shop keepers making dailF reports to <br /> <br />the Mayor daily of their purchases and sales was not.adopted, and the Committee was instructed to pre- <br />Dare an ordinance for requiring such reports. Fnen the whole report, as amended, was adopted. <br /> <br /> Claims-- <br /> <br />Hon. Common Council. <br /> <br /> Genttemen:-You~ Committee on Claims respectfully reports concerning <br />the following m~tter referred to the Joint Committee on Claims by the Common Council July 9th: <br /> <br /> Petitiorm of A. L. ?lemming and R. R. Stublen to be eompensmted $100 each for injuries received <br />at a fire, in discharge of their duties, ,July 21st last. <br /> <br /> We have ex~mined the ease of E. R. Stubien very carefully and would recommend that he be <br />allowed $50 as compensation For the injuries received at said &ire. <br /> <br /> Ac Lo <br /> <br />therefore, <br /> <br />Fiemmir~ has not appeared before the Committee to make an explanation of his case, <br /> <br />report p~ogness as to smme. <br /> (Signed) Jno. Concurred in. <br /> <br /> To authorize the Treasurer to renew notes For $12,000, due October 31st, and For $!2,000: due <br />November Rd. Concurred in. <br /> <br />Second. ~t%ers adopted by the Board of Aldermen 0otober iSth and referred to Common Council <br /> <br />For concurrence. <br /> <br />To send back to the Joint Street Committee all bids to supply the City with p~ving bricks. <br /> Concurred in. <br /> <br /> To send back to the Jolt Public Property Committee all bids for supplying the public buildings <br />with coal For the coming season. Not Concurred in, but ~dhered to Former action thereon. <br /> <br /> To Grant to the City military companies exeiusive control OF the Armory Hall. Concurred in: pro- <br />vided a suitable room shall first have been obtained elsewhere for the Sanitary Inspector, and the <br />Council may recall the privilege to the companies when it m~y thir~ it proper so to do. <br /> <br /> Also, the Board adopted the report of the Joint Finance Committee, as amended by theCommon Coun- <br /> cil, in regard to purchase of Fire hose. <br /> <br /> <br />
