ReP' <br /> <br />March 10, 1908. <br /> <br /> It would give the Committee pleasure to recommend the additional appropriation re-quested <br />by the School Board, but, considering the condition of the City's finanees at this time, they believe <br />that it would not be advisable to m~ke such reeommendation. Nor do they believe that it would be <br />advisable for the Couneil to authorize the School Board to proceed with the ereetion of a building <br />before mn actual sale of the $30,000 of bonds, intended for it, as has been suggested by a committee <br />from the Boar~d~ shall have been eonsumm~ted, because of the difficultyexpeeted in raisingfunds to <br />meet partial payments on the building as they become due. <br /> <br /> Refe~-~ed by Board of Aldermen September lyth. <br /> <br /> To arrange for the issue of $~0,000 of Sehool Bonds, $30~000 of Paving and Street Improvement <br />Bonds, and $110,000 of Sewerage Bonds. <br /> <br /> It is recommended that the said bonds be now prepared for issue; that they shall bear <br /> <br /> 4 1/2 per cent interest, payable semi-annually in.July and january; to be sold by the Joint <br />Finance Committee subject to approval by the City Council; and that the City Attorney be instrneted <br />to prepare an ordinance or ordinances for eovering the issue similar to the ordinances for issue of <br /> <br />bonds in 1906. <br /> <br />(Signed) Jno.
