To consider an appropriation of $1,375 for improvements to the Park View engine As $60 of the amount originally intended for the building have been already spent on it, it is recommended that $1,315 be appr0p~iat~d further for said im~revementso Rereferred. To aseert~in the authority of the Cou~t for directing the Couneil to pay bills eontraeted by the Clerk of the 0curt for stationex-J, &e. ~e find that there are eertain artieles whieh the Judge has authority to order for the Clerk of the Court, and other articles whieh he has not the authority to so order. However, we be- lieve that, whethe~ by or authority ~rnot, eve~ything neeessary fo~ the Clerk's offiee whieh the City has to pay for ought to take the eou~se p~eseribed for other offiees, vim., topass through the regular channel fixed for bills by ordinance. It is therefore recommended that the Clerk of the Cou~t be requested to obtai~hereafter the approval %o requisitions made on-chairmen of the several eommittees of the Couneil for sueh supplies as he may need for his office.
