Slater, City Olerk~ You will please call a meeting of the Co.men Coun- cil for Nonday, June~22d, at 8 o'clock P. E.~ to consider ~ request of the School Board for the loan of $1~400 to pay off t~ne public school teachers for the month of June. 1908~ "Very truly, ~Jno. H. Eall~ Vice-president~ 0. C. ~?nereupon, the call having been rea&~ N~. ~ar~en offerred the following resolution: ~ereas, theSchool Bo~rd has requested the 0ouncil for a loan of $1.400 to enable it to pay ssa!aries due the public school t~aehers for the month of June, 1908, because the funds which the s~id School Board would have used for the purpose had been deposited in the Peoples B~nk, and ~re not mvailable-- Resolved, That the Treasurer be inst~mcted to advance the School Board fourte~hundred ($1,400) dollars out of ~uch 0ity funds he muy have in h~ad; ~nd it is required that the said ~mo~onit of four- teen hundred dollars shall be paid back by the said School Board into the 0ity treasurY on or before Eovember l, 1908.
