Progress as to same. <br /> <br /> A request of the-Board of Health to have the incinerator put under its charge. <br /> Referred by Board of Aldermen August l?th. <br /> <br /> To.consider the advisability of paving the west side <br />Holladay, Progress. <br /> <br />to;~move garbage from the <br /> <br />Progress. <br /> <br />of Armsstrong street, between Glasgow and <br /> <br /> It is recommended that the Joint Street Committee be authorized-to prepare specifications and <br />advertise for bids for removal of garbage, trash, &c., from the streets; and that the Joint Ord/- <br />nance and .Street committees be instructed to prepare an ordinance for regutating~the placing of gar~ <br />b~ge,-trash, &c., on the streets. <br /> (Signed) E.B. Hawks, <br /> 0hairman, O, O. <br /> <br />On motion, the report of the 0ommittee was adopted. <br /> <br /> Public Property-- <br /> Hon.- 0ommon Council. <br /> Gentlemen:--Your Public Property 0ommittee respectful- <br />ly reports as to the following matters referred.to the Joint Public Property Committee by the Scm- <br /> <br />mort 0ounci! ~ay !lth: <br /> <br /> To furnish the Joint Finance Co~m~!ttee with sm estimate of cost of the new bUilding needed <br />the Almshouse. <br /> In accordance with the above insti~ction the 0ommittee have found that such a huil~- <br />i ~ <br /> no would cost $16,398.94. <br /> <br /> It is further-recommended that the Committee be authorized to advertise for bids to supply the <br />PUblic buildings ,with fuel for the winter. <br /> (Signed) S.B. Oorm~on 0ounsi!. <br /> Gentlemen:~- Yo~ Sewerage ~o~*ttee respectfully reports as <br /> <br />to the following matter referred to the Joint Sewerage Committee by the Common Oouncil July 13th: <br /> <br /> A petition of Arthur C. Thompson and several others to have sewerage $onnections made With their <br />property on Hampton Place, between Dinwiddie and ~ashing~on streets, <br /> We h~ve instructed the 0ityEngineer to estimate the cost of making ~he sewerage connec- <br />tions and report the same to the 0ommittee. " <br /> <br /> ~e report further that Bry~n & Co., contractors for Fifth Uard Sewerage, have on hand twenty <br />or twenty-five tons of soft coal which ~hey will sell to the 0!fy for $2.?5 per ton; and as this <br />charge is less than. the price we ~re paying for soft coal at present, it is recommend that the said <br />offer of Bryan& ~o. be accepted. <br /> (Signed~ E.B. <br /> For Committee, O.
