<br /> July 13th,
<br />
<br /> $60 for employment of a leading man at the incinerator, $50 for au assistant
<br />there, and $10 for the engineer of the Sewer Power House to overlook the incinerator.
<br /> It is recommended that one man be employed at the incinerator at $60 per month: we do not
<br />believe that it is necessary to.employ more men there regularly.
<br />
<br />$.50 per day increase for street pavers, each. Progress as to same.
<br />
<br /> $200 per a~uum for rent of a room for use of the Sanitary Inspector.
<br /> It is recommended that $50 be allowed at present for a room for the Sanitary Inspector,
<br />and that the Joint Public Property Oommittee be requested to consider the advisability of. obtaining
<br />Townsen&'s shop at the east end of South street as a permanent room for s~id Inspector.
<br />
<br /> $2,800 for the purchase of the-Union Hose 0ompany's house in the Sixth Ward.
<br /> We would recommend that the said house be not purchased at the price charged for it, as we
<br />thi~k it e~cessive, and that the matter be referred back to the Joint Public Property Committee for
<br />further consideration,
<br />
<br /> $~,~00 for purchase of a house and at~ached lot in the Seventh ~ard, synced by J. Davis Ree~,
<br />for an en~ine house.
<br /> It is recommended that the Joint Public Prope~y ~ommittee be requested to ascertain the
<br />cost of putting said house,in proper, shape for an on. ne house, and also to find what would be the
<br />cost of a suitable, lot elsewhere in the Seventh Ward for an engine house, and for e~ecti~g ~ build-
<br />ing thereon.

<br />To fix the pay of a master and a jour~eymau plumber to serve on the Plumbing Board. Progress.

<br /> To authorize the Treasurer to make notes in the several 0ity ba~s to amount of $18,000 to meet
<br />Oity current expenses for September, 1909.
<br />It is recommended that the Treasurer be so authorized and that the following resolution

<br />The B*~ of Poz~smouth, ~D~le-Merchants and Farmers Bank, ~i& ~e First National Ba~k of Portsmouth,
<br />the sum of eighteen thousand ($18,000) dollars, to be repaid from the revenues of the current year,
<br />and to exeeute the Oity's notes for the same.
