Hawks moved that it lie on the table until the next regular meet- <br />ing ef the <br /> Mr. Hutchins moved to amend, that award for the building be made to J. W.~D~vis and tha~ it be <br />erected on the court house yard. <br /> The amendment by M~. Hutchihs w~s lost on the following tie vote: <br /> Ayes--Ha~?eY~Usl~o~.~Zeigh. Brinson. Hutehin~. <br /> Nays--Hall, Jne. Howard; Watts, Br~oks, Oorbitt. Hawks, <br /> Then the motion By ~r. Hawks w~s adopted by thefollowing vote: <br /> Ayes--Hall, Jno. Howard; Watts, Hanvey. Brooks, O0rbitt, <br /> Nays--~eIton, Leigh, B~inson, Hutchins, <br /> Messrs. Uilkins, Parker, Walker and'Neiggs not vo~ing. <br /> <br />bid, <br /> <br />Mr. Hutehins then r~ised the question as to whether Mr. Da~is' <br />should not be returned him . <br />Whereupon, Mr. Welton moved that said cheek be returned. <br />The G~air ruled the motion of Mr. Welton to be out of order. <br /> <br />certified check accompanying his <br /> <br /> Sewerage-- <br /> Hon. Common Council. <br /> Gbntlemen:--Your ~ewerage Oommittee~respeetfully report tha~ <br />they have made the_usual annual advertisement to supply the Sewer Power-House with ooa~ ~nd have <br /> <br />received the following bids therefor: <br /> <br />F~om She Portsmouth. Goal and Ice ~o., 700 tone at $2.86~per ton. <br /> William G. ~aupin, " ~ " 2.90 <br /> ~. & J. Grant to be relieved from payment of delinquent taxes to amount <br />of $381.97, ms compensation for injury done by ~he 0ity to her property at 509 8o~h street. <br /> We have looked into this claim and recommend that it be not allowed. <br /> <br />Referred~by 0ormmon Oounoil ~y llth. <br /> <br /> A petition of Mrs. Jeannette M. Ba~l and otherheirs to be compensated to amount of $116.5© <br />for ~damage done to sewerage connections of their p~operty at 91~ Oourt street. <br /> We h~ve examined this claim and recommend that it be not allowed. <br /> <br />Referred by Beard of Aldermen May 18th. <br /> <br /> A petition of J. H. Halligan to be pai~ for d~m~ge done to his furniture on Oounty street by <br />the bursting of a hose ~t a fire ~here May ltth. <br /> We have e~amined this claim an~ recommend that it be not allowed. <br /> <br />(Signed) R.S.
