Progress. <br /> <br />An ordinance to regulate street parades. <br /> ~e report that this matter is covered by police regulations, <br /> <br /> A request'of the National Board of Fire Underwriters for an ordinance to prohibit fireworks on <br />the F~urth of July. <br /> This matter is covered by police regulations and under control of the ~ayor, <br /> <br />Referred by Board of Aldermen April 19th. <br /> <br /> A~vis~bility of repealing the ordinance requiring the payment of a tax by householders in the <br />Fifth Waxd for the remov~i ef night soil therefrom. <br /> It is recommended that any property holder in the Fifth Ward who may connect his premises <br />with the sewerage system during theyear 1910 shall, upon mpplic~tion therefor, have ref-umded him <br />by ~he City the amount he m~y have paid in night soil tax for that yaar, provided the applied%ion be <br />accompanied by a certifi~te of the plumber who made the connection that suwh premises were so con- <br />nested in 1910. <br /> Referred by Common ~ou=cil Ma=eh 8th. <br /> <br /> An ordinance to require occupants of s~ores and dwellings to keep the sidewalks in front of the <br />premises olean. <br /> We deem suehan ordinance to be uuadvisable. <br /> <br /> To require telephone and other business wires on the streets to be put under ground. <br />It is recommended that ~etion on this matter be deferred until the Joint Finance ~o~fttee <br />shall report on, "the advisability of the ~ity owning conduits for wires un,er ground on the streets." <br /> <br />Referred by Common Oouncil February- <br /> <br />An ordinance to regulate or prohibit pool rooms in Pren%is Place. <br /> We believe such an ordinance would be~nad~sabte. <br /> <br /> An ordinance to regulate ~he sale of pistols, Progress. <br /> <br /> A building code; to require ~he 0bier of the Fire Department or some other person to~ act as build- <br />ing inspector.
