Advismbility of fitting up offices on the north side of the Oity Hall for the Auditor and the 0ity Engineer. and of turning over the rooms now occupied by these officers into sleeping quarters for paid men of the Chambers Fire Oompamy. It is recommended that office room be provided elsewhere for all officers in the City Hall, as a means to obtain room for the smid firemen. To lay m concrete floor in the Sewer Power House. It is recommended that the floor be laid and that Arthur' Flynn be employed to '~o the work az a cost of $96.82. Referred by Oommon Council September 13th, To see about rent+for the house ovmed by the City on ~ashington street, extended. We have directed the ~lerk to write to the former agent for rent of said house and instruct him to turn over the rent of it hereafter to the 0ity, and to render an account of such rent since the house has become the property of the Oity. Referred by Board of Aldermen September 20th. ~ proposition of the Southern Bell Telephone Oompany to have the Oity connect its free phones furnished by the 0ompany. with the telephone exchange. ge have conferred with the agent of the Bell Telephone Company, and recommend that the fol- lowing disposition be made of sumh phones: One phone in the ~ayor?s office; two in the City Hall. with four extensions; one at the Alms- house; one at the Omk Grove cemetery; one aU the Sewerage Power House; one aU the Chambers' engine house; one at the Independent engine house; one at the Park View engine house; one at the ~ex en- gine house; and one at the Union engine house--a total of ll phones mhd 4 extensions. Then the r.eport as comm*tted and a- mended was a~opted. On motion, the body ad~ourne~ to meet again Thursday, December 15th. December 15, 1910. An adjourned regular meeting of the Oommon Oo~3ncil was set for December 15th. but as ne quorum appeared within a half hour a~er 8 ~'olock. the meeting was further adjourned until Friday, Decem- ber 27th.
