<br /> (~ith Sewerage 0ommittee). A recommendation of the Oommittee that Bryan & Company be paid the
<br />sum of $A,020 and the Eehone Company, $8A0~ the sa!da mounts h~ving been forfeited by these compa-
<br />nies~espeettvely, for f~lure to carry out their contracts with the City.
<br /> It is recommended tD~t both of the above name~ amounts be allowed.
<br /> In the ease of Bryan &Company work was done by'it hem called for in the contrast; mud in the
<br />case of both Bryan & ~ompany and the Eehone Company the City was partly at fault for the delay.
<br />Moreover, emch of these companies completed its work before the Oity was prepared to make use of it.

<br />A bill of C. N. Markham to amount of $~§ for examining deed books, Ac.. for the 0ity.
<br /> It is recommended that the bill be allowed.

<br /> A petition of the Richmond Benefieia! Insurance Company to be re-imbursed $50.75, the said amt.
<br />having been pa~idby it illegally as a license tax.
<br /> ~his matter has been referred to the Oity Attorney for his opinion thereon.

<br />An opinion of the Oity Attorney to the Oouncil that the Oity is required to pay registration
<br />election expenses of the ~ixth and ~eventh wards. Progress.
