3? 9 ~ne 27, 1994 At a Called Meeting of the~CitY CoUncil held on Monday, June 27, 1994, there were present: Mayor Gloria O. Webb, Vice Mayor Lee E. King, Johnny M. Clemons, John H. Epperson, Bernard D, Griffin, Sr., Ja~nes C. Hawks; Cameron C. Pitts, V. Wayne Orton, City Manager, Stuart E. Katz, City Attorney. 94-226 - The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a special called meeting of the City Council to be held in the City Manager's Conference Room, 6th floor, City Hall Building, 801 Crawford Street, at 5:00 p.m., Monday, June 27, 1994, for the purpose of considering a motion to go into an Executive Session. By order of the Mayor." Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Griffin to go into Executive Session pursuant to provisions of SectiOn 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia for the following: (1) Consideration of appointments to Boards and Commissions by the City Council, as permitted under Subsection (A) (1); (2) Discussion or consideration of personnel decisions involving reduction of the City workforce, as permitted under Subsection (A)(1) . The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. Motion by Mr. Clemons, and seconded by Mr. Epperson pursuant to Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginza certifying that to the best of the Council member's knowledge during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: (1) Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and (2) Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the Executive Session was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council.
