Some objection was made to paying for the two combination chemical hose wagons included in the amounts of bills read above, but the c,hairm~.and viee-ohai~e~, who was present, and Ohief of the Fire Department explained that the wagons hmd been em~mined a~d four~ to come up to contract requir- merits. The vice-chairman of ~ne 0o~ittee stated,moreover~that the objection raised that the w~gons had not been recommended for accepts_use by the Council was a fair objection~ that the~f~ilure to ma~e ouch recommendation was $~ oversight of the 0ommittee; aud that ~ recommendation for acceptance of the ~agons would be embodied in the report of ~he Fire 0ommittee to foilo~ Whereupon, the bills were allowed by the following vote~ walker Ballentine, Goodson, Eontague, =~ ~ Ayes--Langhorne, ~ ~ , ~lmams, Palmer, Murray, Stroud, ~.
