Gentlemen:--You~ Joint Finance Oommittee respectfully reports herein concerning the following, m~tter referred to said 0ommittee by the Common Gouucii November 9th: To consider, with recommendation thereon, the pay of the incoming City 0oliector ~nd other m~- ters pertaining to same. · he Oommitte~ reports tha~ ~hey have given the said ma~ters as munn consideration as the limited time for same would allow, and recor~mend, the following for your adoption: First. The City Collector shall receive an annual And in addition thereto $200. for all current collections of 90 per cent. of taxes. And in adiition thereto $200. for all current collections of 95 per cent. of taxes. And in addition thereto $200. for all current collections of. 9? per cent. of taxes. And in addition thereto $200. for all ourren~ collections of 99 per cent. of taxes. And in addition thereto t~o- and'one-half per cent. for all colie~tions of delinquent real estate taxes. And in addition thereto five per cent. for all collections of delinquent personal prop- erty taxes. The Oity Collector shs!i be required to give a "fidelity bond,~ ~o be mpproved by the Oity Oouucil, to amount of $30,000.00. Second. The ~ity Ooi!eotor shall tppoint a Deputy G~ty ~oilecgor, b~t said a~pointmsnt shall be confirmed by the City Council. The Deputy City Collector shall receive an annual salary of $i,000.00.
