According to %he agreement between the City amd ~ryan & 0ompa~, they were 201 days behind ~eir
eontraet time for comPleting ~e work, for which there is a £orfeit exacted of $20. per dmy or $4,020
A~d according to agreement with the Sehone 0o~par~v they were 32 days behl~ time in supplying ejec-
tors, for which there is a ~orfeit of $20. per dm2 or $640.00.
It-m my be said i~ excuse, however, for failure of Bryan & Compan~ to complete their contract on
time, that they met with ~looked For difficulties in the work (some of the trouble caused by t~ae
City itself); a~i beeause of these fae~s and because, moreover, the work w~s completed befo~eth~
· ard was prepared to ?~ke use of.it, it is recommended ~hmt the penalty of $4,020. be not exacted of
s~id Co~; a~d-it ms recommended further ~hat a balance due them of $96~.~0 which was held up on
the l~st payment, be paid also.
A s~mil~r excuse as that mm~e for Brymn & Compmr4V may be ~de for the Sehone Company. This
Compa~yw~s delmyed too, to some extent, by the City, in supplying eJeoto~. But because the ejec-
tors were supplied before they were needed by the Ward it is recommended that the penmlty of $640.
be not exacted and thmt the 0ompa~y be paid said amount.
