Eatters adopted by the Co~on Council'February 14th and referred to the Board of <br />dermen for concurrence. <br /> To transfer $116.19 of funds for redemption of bonds to the Bond Sinking <br />fund. <br /> To authorize the Joint Fin~uce Committee to advertise for bids to supply the several depart- <br />ments with statione~% p~inting and ice used by them; and each department shall furnish an estimate <br />of such supplies as may be needed for it for the year 1911. <br /> <br />To make the new ordinance for regulating the pay of the Police Force go into effect ~ar.!,!91!. <br /> <br /> All of the above were concurred in; and the Board concurred also in all recommendations of com- <br />mittees adopted by the Common ~ou0ac~l ~ebruar~ 14th. <br /> <br /> Second. Communications from the <br /> The ~ayor returned his approval of the following matters adopted by the two branches of <br />oil February 14-21, 1911: <br /> To pay Bryan & Company $4,0S0 and the Schone Company $640, the said amts. <br />having been forfeited by these Companies, respectively, for failure to car~ out their contracts <br />with the City. <br /> <br /> To pay an assessment on the Oity of $285 to the Board of Quarautine Commissioners, to meet its <br />expenses for the curren~ year. <br /> <br /> To allow C. N. !,~arWb.am $70 per month for ex~mining City deed book~ ac. <br /> <br /> To hire the ste~n roller to the Portsmouth Coal & ice Company for '$100 per month, <br />give a satisfactory bond for said hire, <br /> <br />provided they <br /> <br /> To allow the pay of the Police Force from ~rch I, 1911, in accordance with the ordinance !ate~ <br />ly adopted for said pay. <br /> <br /> To transfer $118~l~ of "funds for the redemption of bonds" to the Bond Sinking Pund~ <br /> <br /> To allow the Norfolk & Portsmouth Traction Company to put'Under-ground conduits in Eastwood's <br />Lane, as per diagram presented therefor. <br /> <br />Budget of anticipated receipts and proposed expenditures of ~k~b!ic Funds for the year 191!. <br />~u ordin~uce to include County smree~ entirely in ~the Sixth Ward. <br /> <br />Au ordin~uce for fixing the pay of the Police Force. <br /> <br />Reports of Officers and other unfinished business. <br /> <br />The regular reports of Officers for Fsbruary m~ere presented and ordered to take the usual course. <br /> <br />NE~ BUSIR-ESS. <br /> <br /> A eommunzca~zon was read from Dr. Joseph A.
