<br />Air Line Railroad to place safety gates at the point on Ssuth street west of Chestnut street, its
<br />tracks cross this street.
<br /> ~Recent!y there has been several narrow escapes from being run over by trains using this track,
<br />and to properly protect the public gates should be placed at the point above referred to.'

<br /> 'A question having been raised as to ~nether or not the Council had requested the 0o~monwealth's
<br />Attorney to ask for an increase in assessments on such pieces of property as in the opinion of Hr.
<br />O. N. ~arkham were under assessed, and as the record does not show that such a request had been made
<br />I would respectfully ask that the record be amended so as to show that such a request had been made,
<br />or if such should not be the case that you do now request such action by the Commonwealth's Attorney.TM

<br />sent, it was resolved that the Counci~ be petitioned to increase the Police Force four patrolmen.~

<br />to restaurants, lunch rooms and eating houses, a personal privilege, and that such licenses be grant-
<br />ed only on the approval of the ~[ayor.

<br />the manier in which the safety gates on ~e Gosport causeway and other places are handled.
