Request of the T~easurer for authority to borrow $15,000. of the 0ity'banks, to meet expenses of the Publi~ Sohoots for Mareh, April, and May, 1911. It is reeommended that the authority be granted, and the following ~esolution be adopted therefor: Resolved, That the ~easurer be, and he is hereby, authorized :to make notes in The Bank 0~ Portsmouth, The' Merehants'& Farmersf Bea~k,.the Bank of Tidewater, and The First National Bank of Portsmouth, to amount of Fifteen Thousand Dolla~s ($15,000.00), to meet expenses of the Public Sehools for March, April, and May, 1911; said amount to be repaid from revenues of the City for the Communieation from the Water Company eoneerni~g certain bills due it, and eertain taxes it el~lms eolleoted illegally.
