<br /> and thmt $$fl~$00. be appropriated for buitding~thereon a suitable 01erk's offiee and Council Chamber
<br /> and for furnishing tho s~me.
<br /> That for these purposes the Joint Finance 0ommittee be instructed to negotiate a loan of
<br /> $60,000. in the several City banks, for four ye&rs' time; said loan to be paid in four e~l yearly
<br /> instalments, and that reeeipts of the City from the ~orfolk County Ferries be hypothecated for pmy-
<br /> ment of smme,

<br /> The 0hai~mmn of the Sixth W~rd ~ooal Board appeared before the Committee at its last meeting,
<br />and requested that the Committee recommend to the Council to advanee $15,000, to the Sixth Ward for
<br />enmbting i~ to complete its p~ving on County ~and $1asgowstr~ets.
<br /> After considering the proposition, the Committee deeided to recommend ~o the Couneil the
<br />grmnting of~the request, provided said amount of$15,0~0, emn be obtained fr0mUltyba~ks, on six.
<br />months' time, at 6% interest, the Wa~d to p~y the interest on the mmount until redeemed by it; and we
<br />SO r eooI~end.

<br /> That though the whole amount of $~5,575.2~ h~s been allowed the Sixth Ward-as net proceeds of
<br />its bond issue, yet said amount has not been appropriated tothe Ward, ~n~ i~ is' recommended there-

<br />per diem men shall be paid off, and also fo~ fixing the time thmt pa~ rolls for a~t the Departments
