<br /> "Resolved,-That the Treasurer be, and he is hereby~ authorized to make a note in The Merchants'
<br />& Farmers' Bank to amount of Twenty Thousand Dollars (SE0,000.00), to be curtailed every ninety days,
<br />with interest thereon, and paid from receipts of the City from lease o£ the Norfolk County~Fsrries.
<br /> The-said note is authorized in accordance with a resolution of the two branches of City Council
<br />ad~pted June 13-20, 19il, instructing the Joint Finance Committee to negotiate a loan of Sixty Thous-
<br />and Dollars ($60,000o00) with the several City banks, in order to purchase the "Armistead property,"
<br />touching the court house yard, and to build thereon a suitable Clerk's office and Council Chamber and
<br />furnish the same, which said resolution is hereto attached."

<br /> And it is further recommended that you appropriate $$18.38 for court expenses, &c., made
<br />necessary for acquiring this property.
