<br /> The minutes of the adjourned regular meeting June 19th were read and were approved.
<br /> Mr. Markham eaid~ however, he thought the minutes should show that, when he presented the
<br />port of the Street Committee, he stated at the time that he objected to paving Glasgow street with
<br />bitulithic; _and the slatement was accepted by the body.

<br /> Advisability of issuing $800,000.00 of bonds for establishing a water plant, &c.,.for th? O~ty.
<br /> It is recommended that thirty-year bonds o~ the City of Portsmouth, bearing ~nteres~ a~
<br />five per-cent per annum, and not exceeding in amount Six Hundred ~housand ($600,000.00) Dollars, be
<br />authorized; said bonds to be sold in such amounts and at such times as the Portsmouth Water Commis-
<br />sion may request, and the proceeds arising from the sale of such bonds to be applied to the construc-
<br />tion of a municipal water plant.

<br /> An appropriation to continue the present "~ite Nay," pending the installation of the cluster
<br />light system.
<br /> It is recommended that a special appropriation of SEO0.O0 be allowed for th~ continuation
