July 25, 1994 At a Called Meeting of the City Council held on Monday, July 25, 1994, there were present: Mayor Gloria O. Web~, Vice Mayor Johnny M. Clemons, Bernard D. Griffin, Sr., James C. Hawks, James T. Martin, Cameron C. Pitts, P. Ward Robinett, Jr., V. Wayne Orton, City Manager, Stuart E. Katz, City Attorney. 94-285 The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the City Manager's Conference Room, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 Crawford Street, at 4:45 p.m., Monday, July 25, 1994, for the purpose of a joint meeting with Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority. In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an Executive Session. By order of the Mayor." Members of the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority Commission present: Junius Williams Ernest Hardee George Eberwine McFall Gourdine Motion by Mr. Clemons, and seconded by Mr. Pitts, to go into Executive Session pursuan= to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia for the following: (1) Consideration of condition, disposition or use of publicly owned real property in the downtown and Port Centre portions of the City, as permitted under Subsection (A)(3). The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. Motion by Mr. Martin, and seconded by Mr. Griffin, pursuant to Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council member's knowledge during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: (1) Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and (2) Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the Executive Session was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council.
