~¥ou will please call a Joint Session of the two branches of City Council, in the
Corporation Court Room, Monday, November lS, 1912, at 8 o'clock P. E.~ to consider Lncreased facili-

"Very truty~
Counci~"

"C. W. Walker,

The "call">having been read, the Chairman of the Ferry Committee stated that, in conformity

~ith a resolution adopted by the Common Council November iEth to consider with the Board.of Super-
visors.of Norfolk County the advisability of acquiring the "Newton property," in Norfolk, adjoining
the Ferries, the said Committees had had a meeting at the office of ~Ar. ~elton with ~. L. E. Sil-
vester, of the Nor folk County Ferry Committee; had discussed the proposition and had decided to ap-
point a sub-committeeof the joint committees to meet the members of the Board of S~pervisor~ on
Monday next for the purpose of determining, with concurrence of th~ Board of Supervisors, a price
that might be offered for said property and other matters connected therewith; and that said sub-
committee with members of the Board of Supervisors would appear before a Joins Session of the two
branches of City Council, to be called for the monday following, for the purpose of discussing _$u.r2
ther the matter.
He stated, however, that while the sub-committee had me~ for such purpose, no members of the
Boar~ of Supervisors met with them, and .it seemed, he said, that none are here at present.
The desirability of acquiring the prop. erZy named, its price, and location were discussed for
some little while by ~essrs. W. C. Eoore~ P~ll/~ontague, Davis, Hawks, and others, but as it was
.concluded that nothing could be done in the matter without the concurrence of the Board of Super-
visors there for, and as nothing had been heard from said Board, the body adjourned.
