<br /> The minutes of the reiular meeting April 15th, Joint Session April 2End, ~peoial NeSting April

<br /> The minutes having been read, Mr. ~a~kham ~aiaed.~the p~int of order that there was not a quorum
<br />present at the reg~alar meeting of the body April 15th, and~ therefore, the sundry appropriations
<br />acted O~.at t~hat meeting were not regular, and ~aght ~o be now takan up and consmd~red' ~ before the re-
<br />ports for ~ay were~ ao~te~.0n~ ~'Oiting the opinion of the City Attorney as to the number of members
<br />from the five old Wards necessary ~o adopt approp~riatio~s.
<br /> The Chair ruled that at the April meeting the body was acting un'e= the rule heretofore in eper
<br />ration, that 8 of the 10 members from the old Wards constituted a majority for passage of City bills·
<br />but since that time he had received the written opinion of the City Attorney that it required ? from
<br />the old Wards, instead of 8· to vet? appropriations for the old part of the City, and he would so
<br />hold in fut~re, but not for the April meeting.·
<br />
<br /> Nr. Williams then moved that the body proceed to business. The motion was adopted.
<br />

<br /> To make available, out of Sixth Ward Bond Issue, $58,244.40 for improvement work on Hi!h street
<br />westward from Chestnut and to proyide $~,045~60 to continue improvement wo~k to the City limits.
<br /> It is recommended that $58,244.40 be made available· out of Sixtn Ward Bond Issue, less
<br />$745.1~ for bills due and approved as reported by the Auditor.
<br /> We report Progress as to the additional amoun~ of $2,045.60 to continue the work to the
<br />City limits.
<br />
<br /> $19.29 to C. H. Bunting· fireman, for nine days lost from duty in February on account of sick-
<br /> I~ is eecommended that said amount be allowed.
<br />
<br /> $?~.~0 to Joe. 0. Daughtrey for time lost from d~ty as hoseman from February 1st to March 10th,
<br />on account of eickness.
<br /> It is recommemded that said amount be allowed, and it is further.recommended that the Fire
