J. McGuire to the Mayor, and from the City Engineer to Chairman of the <br />Street Committee, concerning the pavement on upper High street. <br /> It is recon~ended that all properly approved bills of F. J. McGuire against the City be <br />paid, after he shall have signed a contract and given bond for the work~ and that the City Engineer <br />be instructed to go ahead with the paving of upper High street as far west as the west side of Seven- <br />th avenue. <br /> <br /> A communication from the Sixth Ward Board objecting to work on Pearl street in the Seventh Nard <br />being done at the expense of the Sixth Ward. <br /> We report that this matter has passed out of the hands of the Committee. <br /> <br /> A petition of the Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Co. for permission to lay a cable and build a <br />manhole at the foot of Crawford street. <br /> We report that this petition was allowed by the Common Council and the Board of Aldermen <br />at special meetings September <br /> <br /> A bill of F. J. NcGuire against the Sixth Ward Board to amount cT $1Z,479.15, for contract work <br />on upper High street. <br /> It is recommended as recommended above, that when a contract with the City has been made <br />with sufficient bond accompanying, the bill be paid, if properly approved. <br /> <br /> To pave the roadway of Hampton Place, from Dinw~die street to west side <br />Washington street, from Hampton-Place to North street.
