Co,non Council. <br /> <br />Gentlemen:-- Your <br /> <br />Finance <br /> <br />Committee respectfully reports <br /> <br />hereim concerning the following matters referred to the Joint Finance Committee April 9-12-16 <br /> <br />and March 12, 1912: <br /> <br />Referred by Common Council April 9-12th. <br /> <br /> An appropriatign of $6,946.~2 to pave Chestnut street, from south side of Glasgow <br />side of South; and $$00.83'to cover cost of Inspection, Bt~kes, &c., fo~ same. <br /> It is recommended that appropriations to said amounts be made for this~'work, <br />the new issue of bonds. <br /> <br />to south <br />out of <br /> <br />An appropriation for 250 keys for fire,alarm boxes. <br /> This matt~rzhas been referred back to the Fire Committee by the Board of Aldermen. <br /> <br />An appropriation for pay of 3 additional full paid men for. the Fire Department. <br /> Progress as to same. <br /> <br />To take into consideration the establishment of office of Police Justice. Progress. <br /> <br /> An appropriation for lights at County~and Pearl, County and Pine, and Armstrong and-Reed <br />streets. Progress. <br /> <br /> An approprzatzon to send the Inspector of Plumbing to a convention of plumbers to meet <br />in S~ Louis, Mo. <br /> It 'is recommended that an appropriation of $125.00 be allowed for the purpose. <br /> <br /> .lAn appropriation to maintain~during the month of April, 1912, the stree21lE~on~ zgh, <br />Eff~gham, and County.streets, heretofore paid for by citizens. <br /> ~ It is recommended that an appropriation of $200.00 be made to meet saidexpense. <br /> <br /> ~5,000.00 to meet expenses of the Board of Water Commissioners for the yeaz~gi2. Hedges Baker to amount of $15.00~, for defending a prmsoner by order~ of Court. <br /> It is recommended that said bill be al%owed. <br /> <br /> A~ petition of employees of the Sewerage Power House for a l0 day leave of absenca yearly. <br /> It is recommended that the petition be granted. <br /> <br />A bond of R.
