Auditing-- Reported having exam%ned bills against the City for the month of May, I~15~ and they recommended the payment of same to the following amount~: ~2,119.55 for theCity Pro- per$$9~0~ for the Sixth Ward; and 41,154.1~ for the Seventh.Wa~d. Common Council. Gentlemen:-- Tour Finance Oommittee respectik~lly reports herein concerning the following matters ref~rrea to the Joint Finance Com~mittee May I~-~°0, 1913: Referred by Common Council May l~th. To allow the Street Committee to ~pend $100.00, out of its Contingent fund, to lay a g~an- olithic sidewalk on the ~est side_of D~nwiddie street, n~rth of Ham-~ton Place. it is recommenaed that $100.00, or as much Of ~he same as has not been expended out of said Contingent fund, be allowed for the purpose nameG. To make available $I,000.00 allowed in the Budge~ for ,,Sidewalks." It is recommended that the $i,000.00 asked~ ~ ~o., or as ~ch of the s~pended, be allowed. same as Dms not been 4175.00, or as much of the same as may.be necessary, for purchase of a docket filing case for the Police ~ ~' ~ tls ~ice. We are holding this matter up for additional ~nmormat~on concerning same. $90.00 for straight electric fixtures in the Council Chamber~ as a substitut? for present combined electric and sas fixtures therein, out of appropriation for Municipal Building. in the ~' ~ ~ ~ ..... $800.00 for a storage room for the auto-patrol wagon. it is recommended that a special app~opr~atmon to said amount be allowed. An increase of pay of $5.00 per month for all paid men of the Fire Department. This matter is in the hands of the Councils. To make available $2,067.~0 allowed in the B~dget fg~ "Fire Alarm Telegraph, New Work." It is recommended that said amount be made available. for same 00 for purchase of land in_the Budget. it is recommended that in the rea~ of the Union Fire House, out of 4100.00 allowed said amSunt be allowed for the purpose. $511.50 and $404.50 to sewer Hunter's and Eastwood's Lanes, respectively. This matter is being held up for further ~nv~stigation~ · $57~ 500.00 as the City's part of cost for purchase of the "Newton ~harf" property for ad- ditmonal ferry facilities, said amount being one-half of purchase price. It is recommended that this appropriation be not made. 4~0.00 to pay claim of L. L. ~a~s~ ~ Express Company. It is recommended that Williams as informer in a case of the City against The ~ '~ a special appropriation of $50.00 be allowed for the purpose. We have examined this bond and recommend that it be accepted. A request of the Board~of Quarantine Commissioners fo~ $~15.00 to pay the ~'~ ' ~!~y $ propor- tion of expenses of said Beaird for the year t9i~. It is recommended that said amount be allowed, $Z40.00 as provided in the Budget ~ ~ I same, and a special appropriation of $75.00.
