<br /> ~ You will please call a Joint Sessio~ of the two branches of City Council for
<br />Thursday, APril ~$rd, at $ ~'clock P. N., to consider:
<br /> ~irst. The License Tax Bill for the Tear l~14-1B.
<br /> Second. The filling~of vacancies on the Seventh Ward Local Improvement Board, caused by
<br />resignation therefrom of W. H. Shackelford and C. N~ DeGaribody.
<br /> Third. Report of the Joint ~treet Committee on ~treet Paving.
<br /> Immediately following the Joint Session, ~he Common Council will meet in special session
<br />to consider a request of the Treasurer to renew ne~tain notes due in City banks, and also such
<br />other matters as may have.been adopted in said Joint ~ession requiring seps~rate action thereon
<br />by the Common Council and Board of Aldermen.

<br />~ount of $10,000. for Schools, $17,000. for Municipal Building; $10,000. for Playground; and
<br />$$,105.~B for Sixth Ward Bond.
<br /> On motion, the body concurred in the action of the Board of Aldermen April Blst in
<br />granting the 2equest of the Treasurer, and by the following vote:
<br /> Ayes--F~ll, White,
<br /> Parrish, Hanvey, Herbert, Noore, Goodman, Lassiter, Tyler, Hawks, Beisel,
<br /> Cooke, Saunders, 13.
<br />
<br /> The body concurred in action of the Joint Session of this date in ordering the Street Pav-
<br />ing Program to lie on the table for thirty days.
<br />
<br /> There beimg no objection, M~. Moore stated that the Ladies Library Association wished to
<br />$~e the.small house on the yard formerly occupied.by JudgetOrocker for a library room, but he
<br /> Sremi~ded that the matter of allowing the ladies to ~se a~room on the premises was already
<br />in the hands of the Public Property Committee.
