<br /> Reported having examined bills against the City for the month of July, 1914,

<br />and they recommended th~ payment of same to the following amounts: ~B, 56B. lO for the O£ty Pro-
<br />per; $~7.75 for the Sixth Ward; and $1~O~jOS: for the Seventh Ward.
<br />
<br /> · The report having been read~ the Clerk stated for the Ohairman of the Auditing Com-
<br />mmttee that there were .sundry other bills to amount o~ $1,08~.84 for the City Proper~ $I~9.47
<br />for the 2ixth Ward; and $1.~0 for the Seventh Ward whmch, though approved by One Chairman only,
<br />he would recommend for payment, believing said bills to be-correct,

<br />notes in The Bank of Portsmouth, The Merchants' & Farmers' Bank, theba~.of Tidewater, and The
<br />First National Bank of Portsmouth, to amount of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000~00), to meet
<br />Current Expenses for the month of August, 1~14; said am*ant to be repaid from revenues of the
<br />City for the current year. -
