Davis, <br /> Nenr~ .Pile, ,' ~'. -~ ,- <br /> The minutes of the regular meeting December 16th were read and were approved. <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF CO~ITTEES. <br />On call for reports of Committees~ it was found that 'there was not the legal quorum needed <br />vote on the same, and on motion, they were passed by to await the coming in of other members. <br /> <br /> Firs~.'Nattars adopted by the <br />dermen for concurrence. <br /> <br /> UNFINISHED BUSINESS. <br /> <br />Commo~ Council January 13th and referred to the Board of Al- <br /> <br /> The body still lacked a legal quo:~..zm, and the ~!ymatter that was taken up under this head <br /> was the following: <br /> To adopt a resolution of the Council of Richmond requesting the Oity Cmancil <br /> of Portsmouth to co-operate with the commercial bodies of Richmond to secure the nomination of <br /> said City as the location for one of the Federal Reserve B~uks. <br /> On motion, the same was concurred <br /> At this point, Mr. Markham said he ~homght the Redistricting O~dinance should be taken up, <br />as the time was at hand for acting on it; that a new CounCil was to be elected mn J~ne and that <br />the Council would not be at all premature in settling at this time the number of members for the <br />body. <br /> Mr. Davis, however, stated that action on the same could be deferred for the present and <br />he. moved to recommit the ordimance. <br /> Nm. Narkham, on the ether hand, moved to take up t~e ordinance now and act on it, and he <br />~ed for a recorded vo~e on his motion. <br /> ~herempon, the motio~ was lost and by the following vote: <br /> A Yes-'Markham, 1. <br /> Nays--Lamghorne,.
