50'2 <br /> <br />October 18, 1994 <br /> <br /> At a Called Meeting of..the City,Council on Tuesday, <br />October 18, 1994, there were present: <br /> <br /> Mayor Gloria O. Webb, Vice Mayor Johnny M. Clemons, <br />Bernard D. Griffin, Sr., James C. Hawks, James T. Martin, <br />Cameron C. Pitts, V. Wayne Orton, City Manager, Stuart E. Katz, <br />City Attorney. <br /> <br />94-416 - The fo110wing call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be <br />held in the City Manager's Conference Room, 6th floor of City <br />Hall, 801 Crawford Street, at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 18, <br />1994, for the purpose of a Work Session with the Commanding <br />Officer of the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. <br /> <br /> In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an <br />Executive Session. <br /> <br />By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Martin, to <br />into Executive Session pursuant to provisions of Section <br />2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia for the following: <br /> <br /> (1) Consideration of appointments to Boards and <br />Commissions by the City Council, as permitted under Subsection <br />(A) (1); <br /> <br /> (2) Consideration of the use or acquisition of real <br />property for public purpose ~n the southeastern and Port Centre <br />portions of the City and the use or disposition of publicly <br />held real property in the Port Centre portion of the City, as <br />permitted under Subsection (A) (3). <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Griffin, and seconded by Mr. Pitts, pursuant <br />to Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to <br />the best of the COuncil member's knowledge during the <br />immediately preceding ExecutiveSession of the City Council: <br /> <br /> (1) 0nly Public bUSiness matters lawfully exempted from <br />open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of <br />Information Act, and <br /> <br /> (2) Only such public business matters as were identified <br />in the motion by which the ExecutiVe Session was convened, were <br />heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> 94-417 The following items were discussed in the Public <br />Work Session: <br /> <br />1. BP, AC Commission update <br /> <br />On motion meeting adjourned at 5:26 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVED - <br /> <br /> Mayor <br /> <br />Sh~ila Powell Pittman, CMC/AAE <br /> City Clerk <br /> <br />~Councilman P.
