Narkham, the advisability of permitting property holders to pay their <br />annual taxes in two periods, instead of one period as at present, was re£erred ~o Finance Com- <br />mit tee. <br /> <br /> Mr. Markham presented a proposed ordinance with regard to "jitney busses," and same was <br />referred to Ordinance Committee. <br /> <br />Mr.~Davis presented the following resolution,.which was referred to Cemetery Committee: <br /> <br />"~hereas, there appears to be an urgent necessity for the acquirement by the City of <br />~and for cemetery p~vposes, and at a time when it is necessary ~o consider the financial abil- <br />zty of the City to znc,~ further debt, interest charges, &c~, and~ ' <br /> "Whereas, the City is in possession of more than ample land for said purpose, said <br />land not being used or needed for other pum~ooses, and absolutely unprofitable and non-productive <br />Of revenue, · <br /> <br /> · "Resolved, That the tract of land on which the Almshouse is located be used for ceme- <br />tery purposes, improvmng fr, om time to time such portions ~hereof as eccasionmay require." <br /> <br /> On motion of .~t~rl Barlow, the advisability of an adding machine for the City Collector was <br />referred to Finance Committee. <br /> <br /> A communication was read from the Sanitary Inspector concerning necessity for screening <br />the City Market and same was referred to Public Pr~oerty & Schools Committee. <br /> <br />On motio~n, adjourned~ <br /> <br />June 15, i915. <br /> <br /> There <br /> <br />of the same appearing within half an hour after the time set <br />adjourned. <br /> <br /> Those present were: <br /> Messrs--L.
