<br />vote in this matter, because the proposition carried with it an appropriation of City funds on
<br />which the Sixth and Seventh Nards were excluded from voting.
<br /> Mr. Langhorne excepted to the ruling, but did not appeal.
<br /> A vote was then taken on Mr. Browne's motion and it was lost by the following vote; it re-

<br /> A request of the-Park Commission to have transplanted some of the oak sap~ings on. the Alms-
<br />house ground to certain points on sidewalks, &c~
<br /> Progress as to same.
<br />
<br /> A request of the Park Commission that a part of the Almshouse tract be converted into a
<br />park.
<br /> It is recommended that ~he request of the Park Commission be granted and that it be
<br />requested ~o select such part of the Almshouse tract as it m~y ~hink desirable for a park and
<br />report to the Council.
<br />
<br /> It is further recommended that the Committee be authorized to advertise fez bids to
<br />supply rations for the Almshouse and medicines for the poor of the City, ~f~r the year 19i6~
