R. C. P. De~ember Zi, 1915. At a regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen December ~ist there were present: Messrs--L. Hi Davis, President, C. N. Mar~, Vice-President, M. B. Langhorne, E. L. Bartow, Lomenzo Cart, M. M. Adams, L. Privett, J. H. Wilson, S. Oleburne Browne, Henry Pile, 10. The minutes of the regular meeting November 16th were read and were approved. The minutes having be~n read, Mr. Markham moved that the rules be suspended to take the Budget of Anticipated Receipts & Expenditures for the Year 1916, adopted by the Common Oouncii December 14th. The motion was adopted. He then moved to take up the Budget for adoption under the ~ifferent headings. The motion was adopted. At this point, Mr. Pile asked the Chair if the Sixth and Seventh Ward representatives are allowed to Vote on appropriations for the City proper. He said that he had consulted good leg- a! authority and he had been advised that they did have such right. After considerable discussion of the matter, the Chair ruled that representatives from- said Wards were confined in thei~ votes to appropriations for the Wards only. Whereupon, Mr. Pile took an appeal from the decision of the Chair bu~ said decision was sustained. General Administration-- Mr. ~arkham moved to amend that 50~ on the hundred dollars be ~ropriated for "Schools," instead of the sum of $~0,000.00. The amendment was lost. Then General Administration was adopted as a~eDded by the Common Council. ap- Almshouse -- Adopted as adopted by the Common Council. Health-- Adopted as adopted by the Common ~Council. Police-- Mr. Markham moved .to amend by striking out the appropriation for the "Ford Auto- mobile" and addinE an appropriatmon of $EBO. for a "Motorcycle;" and by adding also the sum of $$~8. for the employment of a traffic policeman. The motion was adopted. Public Property-- Adopted as ad~pted by the Common Counci1. Streets-- Ad~pted as adopted by the Common Council. Sewe~age-- Adopted as adopted by the Comm~on Council. Water-- Adopted as adopted by the Common. Council. Sixth Ward Appropriations-- Adopted as adopted by the Common Council. ~venth Ward Appropriations-- Adopted as adopted by the Oommon Council.
