R. C. P. <br /> <br />De~ember Zi, 1915. <br /> <br /> At a regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen December ~ist there were present: <br /> <br /> Messrs--L. Hi Davis, President, C. N. Mar~, Vice-President, M. B. Langhorne, E. L. Bartow, Lomenzo Cart, M. M. Adams, <br /> L. Privett, J. H. Wilson, S. Oleburne Browne, Henry Pile, 10. <br /> <br /> The minutes of the regular meeting November 16th were read and were approved. <br /> <br /> The minutes having be~n read, Mr. Markham moved that the rules be suspended to take the <br />Budget of Anticipated Receipts & Expenditures for the Year 1916, adopted by the Common Oouncii <br />December 14th. The motion was adopted. <br /> <br />He then moved to take up the Budget for adoption under the ~ifferent headings. <br /> The motion was adopted. <br /> <br /> At this point, Mr. Pile asked the Chair if the Sixth and Seventh Ward representatives are <br />allowed to Vote on appropriations for the City proper. He said that he had consulted good leg- <br />a! authority and he had been advised that they did have such right. <br /> After considerable discussion of the matter, the Chair ruled that representatives from- <br />said Wards were confined in thei~ votes to appropriations for the Wards only. <br /> Whereupon, Mr. Pile took an appeal from the decision of the Chair bu~ said decision was <br />sustained. <br /> <br /> General Administration-- <br /> Mr. ~arkham moved to amend that 50~ on the hundred dollars be <br />~ropriated for "Schools," instead of the sum of $~0,000.00. The amendment was lost.
